Constructing puppets from found objects

The act of finding two materials and connecting them by a simple joint is to encounter the essential relationship between puppeteer and puppet, teaching us to listen to and work with what the object has to offer.

In a process that is part intuitive and part analytical, participants will discover what materials attract them and why, find the stories the objects are already telling, ask whether the object should be changed and, if so, what does it need, how much to intervene and how to recognise when it has gone too far.
